Standing in the Gaap was created to help bridge the gaps in care for everyone—across all backgrounds and communities—living with multiple myeloma.
At its core, Standing in the Gaap is about closing the distance between patients and the resources, education, and care that can transform their experience.
Standing in the Gaap was created in 2016 with an initial focus on addressing disparities in care for Black Americans living with multiple myeloma.
Since then, we’ve expanded our mission to serve patients of all backgrounds, recognizing that gaps in care affect everyone. We remain committed to connecting patients and caregivers with the resources, support, and education that can make a difference in their care—ensuring that no one faces this journey alone, and that everyone has access to the information and support they deserve.
